Flag Feast features a dynamic series of artist-designed flags that explore identity, place, culture, and celebration through graphic form. Installed overhead in a sweeping visual field, the flags create a moment of color, rhythm, and reflection—welcoming visitors to Chicago with the work of local and nationally recognized artists and designers.
The project reflects the Design Museum’s mission to make design accessible to all and to showcase how visual culture shapes shared public experience.
Flag Feast debuted at the Field Day event at Navy Pier, and has travelled to the Taste of Chicago. It continues its life in our front windows at 72 E. Randolph. We are currently on display at O’Hare International Airport, Terminal 3.
